The Barrie Police Service is appealing to the public for assistance after an unlocked vehicle was entered on Looker Drive in the City of Barrie.

On Monday, March 18, 2019, police attended the victim’s residence who reported that his unlocked pick-up truck that was parked in his driveway had been entered and that the locked glove box had been forced open and damaged. It is not known if anything was obtained, but surveillance video showed that on Sunday, March 17, 2019 at 3:17 a.m., two suspects attended to his driveway and entered his truck. The first suspect is described as male white, medium build and approximately 5'10". He was wearing black track pants, a black jacket (hood up) and black basketball shoes. He was carrying a tool that was likely used to access the glove box. The second suspect is described as male white, slender build and approximately 6 feet tall. He was wearing dark coloured pants, a dark jacket, a white hoodie (hood up) and was pushing a bicycle.

The complainant further reported that on November 28, 2018, at 3:14 a.m., a similar occurrence occurred and that it netted the lone thief with a quantity of Canadian currency and a pair of prescription sunglasses. This suspect, who was also captured on video surveillance, is described as: male white approximately 35-40 years, medium build and approximately 5'8". He is seen wearing a dark jacket with reflective striping, dark pants, a camouflage sweater (hood up) and work boots. Please see attached picture.

The Barrie Police Service is reminding the public to never leave valuables in your vehicle and to always to remember, if you lock it, you won’t lose it.
