This Shoplifter Looks Surprised…But She Didn’t Smile for the Camera

The Barrie Police Service is appealing to the public for assistance after an attempted theft was reported in the City of Barrie.

On Friday, February 8, 2019, at 5:00 p.m., Barrie Police responded to the Zehr’s located on Bryne Drive after a female shopper concealed an Oral B toothbrush in a tan coloured purse and walked out of the store without paying for it. Once outside the store, a Loss Prevention Officer approached the shopper and was able to reacquire the stolen toothbrush before the shopper left the area on foot, only to get into a small blue coloured car and drive away.

The suspect is described as female white, 30-40 years old, 5'4"- 5'6", 140lbs - 160lbs, dark jacket, white hoody, big black boots, blue hair with brown roots, tan colour purse and a possible small tattoo under right ear.
