February 5th, 2019 - Police & the Community

Earlier today, members of the Barrie Police Service, Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) and the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) executed a number of search warrants in Barrie and Wasaga Beach related to a Labour Human Trafficking investigation. Public safety was not in jeopardy. This phase of the investigation is now complete and multiple victims of Labour Human Trafficking were safely relocated. Police will have more detailed information to provide about this ongoing investigation at a media conference in the coming days. Police appreciate the public’s interest and media’s cooperation.
