Thirsty Thief Sought by Police

The Barrie Police Service is appealing to the public for assistance after a theft was reported in the City of Barrie.

On Monday, January 21, 2019, shortly after 2:30 p.m., police attended the LCBO located on Cundles Rd. East after a male entered the store, selected two bottles of liquor and concealed them in his jacket. He then walked out of the store without paying for the bottles. The theft, which was captured on high quality surveillance video occurred at 2:23 p.m. and the value of the alcohol taken is just under $100.

The suspect is described as male white, early 20's, royal blue winter coat, black toque, black pants, black gloves and brown boots. The suspect was also wearing a black and white Hurley back pack.
