Theft of laptop has police seeking two suspects

Barrie Police are looking to identify two suspects who stole an Apple MacBook Air laptop computer from a local pawn store after unsuccessfully trying to pawn several power tools.

On Monday, December 17, 2018, at approximately 8:30 p.m., a man and a woman entered the store located on Little Avenue in the City of Barrie. They attempted to pawn the tools but were unable to do so, as they didn’t have valid identification. The two suspects continued to look around the store, and were observed on security footage putting the laptop computer into the box containing one of the tools, and then quickly leaving the store.

The suspects are described as:

First suspect

  • Male, white
  • 5’8” to 5’10” tall
  • 25 to 30 years old
  • Wearing a black toque, black jacket and blue jeans

Second suspect

  • Female, white
  • Approximately 5’4” tall
  • Approximately 25 years old
  • Long brown hair
  • Wearing a black jacket and blue jeans
