ARRESTED - Police searching for liquor store thief

Update November 8, 10:51 a.m.: The suspect wanted in this occurrence has been arrested. 


Update: the suspect in this occurrence is believed to be responsible for additional liquor store thefts in the City of Barrie. Additional photos of the suspect have been provided.

November 1, 2018 - Police were called to a south-end Barrie liquor store on October 31, 2018, around 1:30 p.m. for a report of a theft.

After reviewing security video, an unknown male was observed selecting a bottle of rum and leaving the store, without making any attempt to pay.

The suspect is described as:

  • Male, white
  • Approximately 50 years
  • Heavy build
  • Wearing a blue jays hat and sweater

Investigating officers are asking anyone who may have information to please contact Constable M.
