Police Searching for Purse Snatcher  Who Used Stolen Credit Cards

Barrie Police are looking to identify a male suspect after a purse was stolen from a downtown business and various financial cards were used.

On Wednesday, October 10th, 2018 shortly after midnight the male suspect was captured on video surveillance stealing a purse from a restaurant-bar located on Dunlop Street East, in the City of Barrie.  The purse contained the victims cell phone and financial cards and once she realized the purse was missing she contacted her financial institutes to cancel the cards.  The victim then learned her credit cards had already been used at two convenience stores along Dunlop Street.

Description:

  • Male, white
  • 40 to 50-years-old
  • Approximately 6’0” tall & 240 lbs
  • Wearing glasses, dark coloured baseball cap, plaid hooded coat, grey t-shirt, black shorts and light coloured shoes
