Occurrence Type: Police Appealing to the Public Following a Fail to Remain Collision
Occurrence #: BA18043364
Date: Thursday, August 30, 2018 - 3:30am

The Barrie Police are appealing to the public for assistance after exhausting several investigative leads to identify a vehicle that had been involved in a Fail to Remain on Thursday, August 30, 2018.

Police responded just after 3:30 a.m. to a single motor vehicle collision, and located a vehicle that had crashed into a home near the corner of East and Owen Street, in the City of Barrie. The vehicle quickly fled the scene and three male occupants had been observed inside the vehicle.

The driver of the vehicle failed to stop for police, and as result of the erratic and dangerous driving displayed by the driver, police did not engage the vehicle any further. The vehicle was last seen leaving the City and headed towards Midhurst.

The vehicle is described as a dark coloured Hyundai Santa Fe or similar to a Tucson. The vehicle will have significant damage. It is believed the licence plate started with the letter “A”
