Man and Woman Caught on Video Surveillance Wanted by Police

The Barrie Police Service is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying two suspects following a theft in the City of Barrie.

On Saturday, July 28, 2018, a theft occurred at Cabela’s, located at 50 Concert Way. An employee had discovered several pieces of discarded security wrap, which led to loss prevention investigating further. Video surveillance captured the suspects entering the store just after 5:00 p.m., and directly proceeding to the fishing department. Eventually the pair selected a Lowrance Fish Finder, and together concealed the item into a bag and left the store without alerting staff or security.

The suspects fled the area in a red two-door sedan, possibly a Pontiac G6.  

The investigation is ongoing.

The suspects are described as;

Suspect # 1

  • Male (40 to 45 yrs.)
  • Medium build, 5’6
  • Short blond hair
  • Tattoo on left forearm
  • Wearing a grey “Under Armour” hat, long sleeve grey shirt, blue jeans and flip flops.

Suspect # 2

  • Female (40 to 45 yrs.)
  • Thin build, 5’5
  • Long brown hair
  • Wearing a grey hoodie, jean capris and carrying a black purse.
