ARRESTED: Female Caught on Camera Using Stolen Cards

Barrie Police have identified a female responsible for the use of a stolen credit card after a duffel bag was stolen out of a car on Chippawa Court the first week of August. A 30-year-old Barrie female was arrested on Tuesday, August 21st, 2018 after officers recognized her from the surveillance video.  She was charged with 15 counts of Fraudulent Use of Credit Card, one (1) count of Fraud Under $5000 and one (1) count of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime.  She will attend a Barrie court to answer to her charges next month.


Barrie Police are looking for the public's assistance after a taxi ride and multiple purchases were charged to stolen credit cards and a female was captured on video surveillance using the cards. 

Overnight between Tuesday, August 7th and Wednesday, August 8th, 2018 a vehicle was entered in the area of Chippawa Court, in the City of Barrie.  Various items were stolen including over $500.00 worth of earphones, a duffel bag with personal items as well as the owners financial cards.  Two of these credit cards were used various times before the owner was made aware, exceeding $1400.00 in fraudulent purchases.

  • Long brown hair
  • Approximately 5'2, slim build
  • Wearing a black zip up sweater with white strings and black and white checkered pajama pants
