Traffic Unit Investigating Collision Between Motorcycle and Van

On Monday, July 9th, 2018 at approximately 5:00 pm a collision occurred between a motorcyclist and van on Yonge Street, just south of Big Bay Point Road, in the City of Barrie.  The motorcycle was travelling southbound on Yonge Street when the rider left the bike, causing it to continue sliding down the road.  The van was turning into a plaza entrance when the collision occurred. 

The 44-year-old Innisfil man who was riding the motorcycle sustained serious, life threatening injuries was transported to a GTA hospital.  He is currently listed in stable but serious condition. The driver of the van, a 26-year-old Barrie man, was not physically injured as a result of the collision.
