On Sunday, July 15, 2018 at 5:15 pm Barrie Police were called to Centennial Beach, in the City of Barrie, for a male youth in medical distress just off shore at the Splash On Water Park.

Police, along with Barrie Fire Services and County of Simcoe Paramedics attended and transported the 12-year-old boy to Royal Victoria Regional Health Center. He was later transported to a GTA hospital in serious but stable condition.

Detectives are looking to speak to those who were at the Splash On Water Park and were involved in the rescue and aid of the youth, or who may have seen the events leading up to the rescue.  Anyone who has not already spoken to police is asked to call 705-725-7025 ext. 2129.
