 Suspects Sought Following Theft at Shoppers Drug Mart

Barrie Police have recently received photos from a theft that occurred on Sunday, June 10, 2018, at Shoppers Drug Mart, located at 420 Essa Road, in the City of Barrie.

Video surveillance captured two men entering the store minutes apart from one another. While in the cosmetics department the one male engaged an employee in conversation with the intent to distract her. At this time,the second male was observed on video surveillance quickly removing 19 boxes of perfume from the shelf and placing them into a bag he had been carrying. The two men were able to leave the store without alerting staff or security, and fled the area in an unkown direction. 

The suspects are described as;

Suspect # 1

  • Male, white (40 to 45 yrs.)
  • Medium build, 6’
  • Brown hair – short
  • Wearing a “Blue Jays” shirt, dark blue pants, and black/white shoes and carrying a black/red jacket.

Suspect # 2

  • Male, brown (40 to 45 yrs.)
  • Medium build, 5’10
  • Black hair  short, and goatee
  • Wearing a blue “Polo” shirt, black pants, black jacket, dress shoes and carrying a black bag.
