Investigators Seeking Witnesses in Early Morning Collision

The Barrie Police Traffic Unit is seeking witnesses after a collision spanning two intersections in Barrie's south end is being investigated.

On Tuesday, April 24th, 2018 at 6:20 am officers were called to an abandoned vehicle with obvious damage sitting off the road at Minet's Point Road and White Oaks Road, in the City of Barrie. The investigation revealed the initial collision occurred when the vehicle struck a curb at the intersection of Yonge Street and Minet's Point Road and continued to his resting spot approximately 500m down the road.  The driver was not on scene of the collision when officers first attended but contact has been made with the registered owner and the investigation is ongoing.
