The Barrie Police responded to a collision involving a pedestrian on Tuesday, March 20, 2018, just before 7:30 p.m. on Sydenham Wells Drive, in the City of Barrie.

A six-year-old female had run onto the roadway from behind a parked vehicle and was hit by an e-bike travelling north bound on Sydenham Wells Drive. The driver stopped to render assistance to the child and spoke with her family.

The child did sustain injury and was taken to a local hospital by family. The investigation is ongoing and at this time charges have not been laid.
