Barrie Police Service has located the female wanted for Theft Over $5000. The 38-year-old Barrie female will attend a Barrie court to answer to her charges in the coming month.

Thank you to the public for spreading the word through social media for quick identification and then swift arrests for both accused parties.

UPDATE: Tuesday, April 3rd, 2018

Barrie Police Service has identified the two suspects in connection with the distraction theft at the LCBO at 587 Cundles Road East, in the City of Barrie. Clear and detailed video surveillance was released on Wednesday, March 28th, 2018 in regards to the theft of multiple liquor bottles stolen the Monday prior. Within 24-hours the pair were identified. 

On Thursday, March 29th, 2018 the 46-year-old Alliston male was arrested for Theft Under $5000 by Nottawasaga OPP and returned to Barrie Police Service. The 38-year-old Barrie female is currently outstanding and a warrant will be issued for her arrest for Theft Under $5000.

Barrie Police Service are requesting the public's assistance in a distraction theft where a male and female worked as a team to steal multiple bottles of liquor.

On Monday, March 26th, 2018 police were called to the LCBO located at 587 Cundles Road East, in the City of Barrie, in regards to a theft that had just occurred.  Review of video surveillance showed a female suspect distract employees while a male suspect filled a bag with liquor bottles.  The duo left the store separately but were seen fleeing together in a black Mazda hatchback.

Description Suspect #1:

  • Female, white
  • 40 to 50-years-old
  • Blonde, shoulder length hair

Description Suspect #2:

  • Male, white
  • 40 to 50-years-old
  • Shaved head, balding 
  • Wearing black, green & white Arctic Cat racing jacket and bright orange construction pants
