On Thursday, March 1st, 2018 police located the male responsible for the theft of meat and seafood from Zehrs from February 9th, 2018.  The 48-year-old Barrie male has been charged with Theft Under $5000 and Escape Lawful Custody.  He will appear in Barrie court to answer to his charges in May.

Barrie Police Service is looking for the public's assistance in identifying a male after he fled on foot after stealing over $500 of meat and seafood.

On Friday, February 9th, 2018 just before 3:00 pm the Loss Prevention Officer (LPO) at Zehrs located at 11 Bryne Drive, in the City of Barrie, observed a male enter the store and immediately fill up a cart with meat, seafood and a few additional items. He then walked directly back to the exit making no attempt to pay for his full cart.  The LPO approached the male who fled on foot through the parking lot.

  • Scruffy facial hair
  • Brownish hair
  • Approximately 50-years-old 
  • Wearing a baseball hat, blue jacket and green pants
