Police Seeking Identity of Break and Enter Suspect

The Barrie Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect following a break and enter at Joe's No Frills.

On Saturday, January 13, 2018 just before 8:00 a.m., the suspect was caught on video surveillance breaking into Joe’s No Frills located at 165 Wellington Street, in the City of Barrie. The suspect gained entry through the front door and headed directly to the main office. He quickly fled upon the early arrival of several employees.

It is believed the same suspect is responsible for an attempt theft, which occurred on Friday, January 12, 2018, at Circle K, located at 420 Leacock Drive, in the City of Barrie. The suspect entered the back office, although was confronted by an employee and fled the area prior to police arriving.

The investigation is ongoing.

The suspect is described as;

  • Male, white
  • Slim build, 5’10”
  • Brown hair - short
  • Glasses (black frame)
  • Wearing a “Blue Jays” baseball hat, neon checkered scarf, navy blue peacoat jacket, blue jeans and black shoes.
