Scrooge Fails to Extend Kindness, and Makes off with a Purse

It’s that time of year where many people extend their kindness to help others. In this case, Scrooge took the extra step to retract any kindness.

The Barrie Police has recently received video surveillance and are seeking the public’s assistance to identify a woman responsible for a theft. On Tuesday, November 21, 2017, a woman had quickly fallen victim to a theft, after leaving her purse behind on a table, at Tim Hortons, located at 354 Bayfield Street, in the City of Barrie.

The suspect, who had loitering outside the restaurant, recognized the victim had left her purse behind. The suspect took the opportunity and entered the store, picked up the purse and quickly fled the area.

The suspect is described as;

  • Female, white
  • 18 - 20 years
  • Thin build
  • Long blond
  • Wearing a black/white toque, long black jacket with a fur hood, grey track pants, grey boots and carrying a red purse, belonging to the victim.
