Over $1000 of Food and Merchandise Stolen from Zehrs

Thank you to the public for the assistance. The female has been identified. The investigation is continuing at this time.


On Tuesday, October 10th, 2017 at approximately 9:25pm Loss Prevention Officers at Zehrs located at 620 Yonge Street, in the City of Barrie, observed a female leave the store making no attempt to pay for the items in her cart. 

The female entered and selected canned goods, miscellaneous food items, personal care items, multiple pieces of Joe Fresh jewelry and several pieces of Joe Fresh clothing, placing them in her cart before exiting the store without making payment.  The LPO caught up with the female outside the store attempting to place her under arrest however she was able to load the items into a white pick-up truck, fleeing before she could be apprehended.  The items stolen totaled over $1000.00 in food and goods from the store.

  • Female, white
  • Approximately 5’6”, medium build
  • Long brown hair
  • Wearing a red dress and brown jacket
