On Thursday, September 28, 2017, police arrested a 32-year-old Barrie man following a theft at Kawartha Dairy, located at 10 Anne Street, South, in the City of Barrie.

After satisfying his sweet tooth with a chocolate ice cream, the accused swiped a “Kids Foundation” donation box from the front counter and was last seen leaving the area on his bicycle headed southbound on Anne Street.

Just after 9:00 p.m., the accused was located by police riding his bicycle on John Street. The donation box had been located and the accused had also been found to be in possession of crack cocaine.  The 32-year-old Barrie male was arrested for; Theft Under and Possession of Cocaine. He is scheduled to appear in a Barrie Court of Justice in October.
