Bear Spray and Stun Gun Used in Road Rage

The Barrie Police are seeking the public’s assistance to identify a suspect following a road rage incident that led to two males being assaulted Sunday evening.

On Sunday evening the victims had been travelling northbound on Highway 400 when the driver of burgundy four-door Chrysler 300 suddenly became irate when the victim had overtaken him during a lane change. While flashing his lights and driving erratically, the suspect rolled down his window and began yelling at the victims.

When exiting the highway at Mapleview Drive the suspect continued to follow the victims to an address Saunders Road. When the victims exited their vehicle to enter the premise the suspect quickly approached both men, spraying them with bear spray and attacking one male with a stun gun. The suspect quickly returned to his vehicle and fled the area, heading westbound on Saunders Road.

The investigation is ongoing.

The suspect is described;

  • Male, white
  • Short dark hair
  • Possible tattoos on left arm
  • Wearing a black t-shirt, dark pants and running shoes
