Arrested - Concealing Licence Plates Will Not Hide Ones Identity

Police have arrested and charged a 52-year-old Barrie man following a theft of gas on September 8, 2017. Further investigation identified the male as the suspect in a theft of gas back in July of 2017. 

The 52-year-old Barrie man has been charged with two counts of Theft Under $5,000 and will appear in a Barrie Court of Justice in November.

Concealing Licence Plates Will Not Hide Ones Identity

The Barrie Police are seeking the public’s assistance once again to identify a suspect following a theft of gas, that occurred just after 7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 8, 2017.  

The suspect had covered the rear licence plate prior to obtaining gas from Husky, located at 118 Little Avenue, in the City of Barrie.

The investigation is ongoing.

The vehicle is described as;

  • Grey Chevrolet minivan
  • Visible damage to rear left bumper and duct tape over tail light.

The suspect is described as;

  • Male, white (40 to 50 yrs.)
  • Brown hair
  • Wearing a blue jacket and black pants
