ARRESTED -Suspect Sought for  Possession  of Stolen Credit Card

The Barrie Police have arrested and charged a 32-year-old Barrie man following the theft of a credit card on Friday, July 19, 2017.

The 32-year-old man has been charged with; Theft Under, Unauthorized Use of Credit Card Data and four counts of Property Obtained by Crime.

The accused will appear in a Barrie Court of Justice on Wednesday, September 6, 2017.

The Barrie Police are seeking the public’s assistance to identify a male who is believed to be in possession of a stolen credit.

The victim noted his credit card had been missing on Thursday, July 20, and immediately contacted police. Further investigation led police to obtaining video surveillance, which captured a male utilizing the victims’ credit card on Friday, July 19, 2017, just after 10:00 p.m. The suspect had utilized the victims card at Tim Hortons located 563 Essa Road, Barrie, and at multiple Mac’s Convenience Stores throughout the city, between the hours 9:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.

The investigation is ongoing

The Suspect is described as;

  • Male, white (35-45 yrs.)
  • Short dark hair
  • Wearing a white t-shirt underneath a black hoodie, black jogging pants and black shoes with white soles.
